Anthony Morrison – Advertising Profits from Home

Anthony Morrison tells you

“Forget everything you have ever been told and any of your preconceived ideas about making money online. Whether you have money, are completely broke and in debt, or you’re someone in between, this is the book that will show you how you can make money online using the simple techniques Anthony has been using for years. If you want a blueprint to financial success in today’s economy, you have the perfect book in your hand.”

For a low cost of $19.95 he will give you his book and a DVD with money making secrets. He gives all kinds of video testimonials and information and shows these people making money hand over fist but he does not tell you all the real information.

Adrian Twitter

Adrian Twitter

One of the first testimonials is from “Adrian M” talking about how much he has made from “Advertising Profits from Home” and that its changed his life. What is not told is that Adrian M is actually Adrian Morrison his brother. Who also gets his money from the conferences and speaking engagements.  You can find Adrian Morrison on twitter at http://twitter.com/AdrianMX24 you can see a screenshot of this twitter from a time ago.

This infomercial says he will also build you a website within 48 hours that will let you start making money. This website will cost you 40 dollars a month and you have to drive the traffic yourself. If you really want to get into affiliate marketing than why not just go find affiliates yourself do it. You do not need someone to sell you a concept and how to do it when its not that hard.  Anthony is making money off you without breaking a sweat. Think about it he is going to get 40 dollars residual income from you.

Anthony Morrison also has the “Hidden Millionaires”  which seems to be about buying ads for keywords and placing ads from your affiliate network in order to become profitable.  Here is some more information from someone who went to the conference. These are the conferences that “Adrian M” is making money on.

“I just attended the Hidden Millionaires seminar today. I believe that it is a scam. I spent 90 minutes listening to the front guy trying to sell a concept that seemed to make sense until he said that for the bargain price of 3995.00, Anthony would teach me how to buy ad words on search engines to drive people to a credit card site that would pay me big bucks for applications and approvals. I do not believe that this business is legitimate. If it were, Anthony would not need to charge 3995.00 “today”. Anthony also makes money off of you on an ongoing basis based on your success. If this system is so good at generating income for it’s signees, then Anthony would not need to charge 3995.00 to begin with. There is no record of this business being recorded. The only business associated with Anthony is an auto repair/parts business.” (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080225100324AA9Yb2f)

If you really want to read more about it you can always do so here which “MrMorrison” replys to a few comments which really what millionaire would stop to post this type of garbage. I have yet to see Bill or Steve (Microsoft/Apple) post information correcting supposed misinformation. (http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r20611890-Scam-Anthony-MorrisonHidden-Millionaires-Infomercial)

This is the begining of a long line of posts. I will be digging more and more information up as I can. Including the supposed relationship between Donald Barrett and Mr Morrison. I will be looking for more information and keeping you up to date.

Please feel free to post your comments and concerns about this and other posts on Scam Times

UPDATE: We now have a product worth promoting, check out Niche Blitzkrieg as it will show you everything you need to know about setting up niche websites to make a constant income stream, To good to be true? I have been using it now for a while check out the review of Niche Blitzkrieg

I overheard this on tv early this morning, and after looking into it a bit, I believe too that it is a scam. This system works, but NOT through this guy. You may have heard of it, but go to amway.com. THIS is the one that works. BBB Amway and see what you find. A+, that is what you will find. Around for 50 years, this business has seen it all AND survived. Its working for me, it’ll work for you.

Kara, sorry to dissappoint you but its time that the public knows a little more about Amway. I was an Amway distributor for 4 years, and during those years I learned that I helped Amway continue it’s financial status instead of mine. During those years I was in the military and looking for opportunities to pay for college without student loans. I went to many, many rallies (where I had to carpool with others and sit in hotels and listen to motivational speakers who later would try to sell motivational tapes), weekly meetings that were always held in restaurants where I had to spend more money to eat, make cold calls to get prospective members to join, and learned how to lie to potential customers by calling ourselves “Quickstar”. Those tactics did not work and so now Amway has gone back to calling itself, “Amway”. My profits were never seen by me, and I wasted a ton of time and money.

Matt – thanks for the info…already purchased Anthony Morrisons’ money-making package via infomercial….missed the boat on that one, but have yet to start the program. Have received several calls from Morrison “representatives” urging me to start the program so as not to miss out on the endless income opportunities available. I must admit, their urging has been somewhat relentless, so I decided to do some research ( after the fact). Thank goodness I have, otherwise I might have been none the wiser.

This is a scam, never ever wired any money, if you receive checks and then you should wired to someone else, you will be loosing your money. Check first whatever you want to buy, there is no easy way to make money, however when is a scam is a scam. Be careful!

Hi Matt,

I am glad I found your blog. I just saw an infomercial for Anthony Morrison’s book. The infomercial was lead by Mark Victor Hanson, of the Chicken Soup For The Soul book series, so it seemed quite credible, but something seemed a bit off. With some searching I found your blog….and now have $19.95 I almost wasted.

Thank You!

I called but hung up when I got an automated line, however, they called me back within 10 minutes to make sure there were no issues with the order. I did not order, but the number on my cell was this: 866-520-7289. This may be a dial out only #, so it may not do you any good, but hopefully it will get you a live representative.

First off Vicky,
please excusse my tone as is not my intention to offend but the best way to ask a question or make a comment/urguement is by being concise and clear; Your comments, questions whatever are all over the place. You go on and on then go off on a tangent and totoally make the reader lose interest and want to give up. The redundancy has me dizzy and confused but I’m sticking with it cuase I feel what you’re going through and can’t stand seeing people getting ripped off.!
So I’ll lend what little advise I have. First off, you already took a positive step in contacting Amex alerting them and submitting a depute. This will stop them from summiting extra charges on your card. As for locating Mr. Morrison, I would start with his site http://www.anthonymorrison.com/ but be prepared scammers have a nack for hiding in plain site. They show you the world but when it comes to giving a refund you’ll find out there no way to pin them down. I suggest showing up in person on a seminiar -if offerd- or using their greed aganst them by acting like your ready to dive in head first and invest whatever it takes. I’m sure you’ll be in contact in no time, then you can stall and pass that info to the fraud department.

Hey Vicki, Same thing happened to me… the more I had to listen to that recording the more furious I became. I wrote this info down… Advertising Profits from Home… 800 number that had NO human to talk to. 800 520 **** (don’t want anyone to make the mistake of calling)

High pressure sales, continually made you feel like you had to order the other products for up to. The more I was forced to listen to this bologna and waited 20 minutes for the number to cancell… which they never give you. No way out!
BBB said not to order anything MASTERY.
Always look it up first.

While channel surfing yesterday, I saw the “Advertising Profits from Home” infomercial with Anthony Morrison. I did not order the book, nor have I ever tried any work from home program. But, in general, calling his program a scam may be stretching the term.
I am old enough to remember “The Lazy Man’s Road to Riches” by (the late) Joe Karbo, a marketing genius who credited author Napoleon Hill and his classic book “Think & Grow Rich” (probably in its zillionth printing by now) with the keys to his success. Karbo started his program way back in the 50s and placed full page ads in Sunday papers across the country. Every Sunday a full page ad — for years and years. In fact, old Joe got so rich that when he sold the rights to the book, he cut a deal that pays his grown kids royalties in perpetuity. Sweet. The book is still being marketed today, probably under a different title. The principles in his book work. That is, for the perhaps, 1% who actually applied what they read. The other 99% probably flipped through it, then put it on the shelf where it — and their dreams — gathered dust. With the exception of recognized scams like stuffing envelopes at home, “mystery shopping” — or in my opinion, anything that Scott Turow is selling — it all works if you work it.
Self-help books, website programs, MLM’s — they all work. And remember the spirituality based DVD phenom of a couple years ago, “The Secret” ? It works, too.
Here’s the secret: there is no secret. It’s all about working with intention. And most of us don’t. We want results without expending the effort — myself included. People say that they want to make a lot of money, be successful, financially free, but 90% don’t really mean it. Or, as my dad used to say: “Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die.”
Do you think Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Steve Jobs, Donald Trump or Oprah put in just a few hours a day to achieve success?
Years ago, I trained commissioned salesmen in a business with unlimited earnings potential. We had a fantastic sales support department, gave them everything they needed to succeed. They all started out raring to go. Nine out of ten crapped out in the first few days, weeks or months. BUT, the one person out of ten who stuck with it for six months to one year became a consistent six figure earner. My boss used to say “you have to go through a mountain of rocks to find one giod.”
Compare it to losing weight or toning up your body. All diets and exercise programs work — if you stay with it. Ever notice that gym parking lots are packed every January but by February they’re only half full? By March or April you can roll a bowling ball through the lot and not hit a car. It’s not the program, it’s the person.
We usually fail because we give up or create a zillion excuses for quitting, or worse, we blame someone or something outside ourselves because it didn’t work. Then we tell ourselves and others “I could have done it if it weren’t for (fill in the excuse)”. I’m not sure who said “Successful people are willing to do what unsuccessful people are unwilling to do”, but it’s true.
I do think it’s unfair to criticize Morrison for making $40 off each person who works his program. That’s called “Guerilla Marketing”, multiplying your efforts. It’s what all franchises like MacDonald’s are based upon.
And so what if Morrison’s salespeople persistently urge you to buy more products. JUST SAY NO! If they ignore you, tell them to delete your name from their call list. Most states have laws to protect consumers from unwanted marketing calls. If you tell them to stop calling and they persist, you have recourse. In fact, two/three yrs ago, an Oregon resident filed a claim against Sears for ignoring her requests to stop soliciting her. She was awarded $50,000.00. (Just be sure and keep a call log with accurate date/time/duration of each call.)
As for unauthorized credit card charges, if your credit card is charged after you’ve declined an offer, that’s fraud and should be reported, in writing, to your credit card company, with copies to the Consumer Protection Agency, your state’s attorney general’s office and the U.S. Attorney General’s office. Unless you know and trust a company, never sign up for “monthly auto pay” and don’t use your debit card or check by phone (ACH payment) for purchases from an unknown entity. Getting those charges reversed through your bank can be a nightmare and your bank will charge a fee. Better to use an actual consumer credit card.
Bet you thought I’d end up trying to sell you something, didn’t you? Well, I meant what I said. I am not selling anything. I’m just a woman with some life experience and a strong point of view. If anything I’ve said is helpful to you, that’s reward enough for me.

Evan,

Kudos to you. I respect the amount of time and thought that went into your response. This is not to disparage anyone else who commented on this program. However, your insight is very keen and I enjoyed the detail of your statement(s).

You are correct about the effectiveness of a “system”. Most people quit when they do not get immediate success. Subsequently they tend to dismiss the “program” as being some sort of waste of time. Generally speaking, most systems take persistence and perserverance. Impatience tends to win out.

I liked your reference points. Napoleon Hill, Guerilla Marketing and McDonald’s. They are all great case studies in themselves and there is much that can be learned from each one of those stories. Also, you are correct about the Credit Card charges. If someone is charging your credit card and you cannot get it to stop. Cancel the card or report it to the credit card company.

Please feel free to email me with your response. [email protected].

One more thing. Morrison’s program is being called a “scam”. I still do not understand where the scam is. Was the advice poor? Is the program not working What went wrong?

Cheers,

Bill Koziol

Thanks, Evan for your clarity. I agree that the programs all work… it is the people who don’t. It takes attention, intention and focus to make any business successful. Some people can’t hold a positive thought for 10 seconds and it is thoughts that create reality! People get what they expect, most of the time it is without seeing the whole picture and what is possible. If someone doesn’t like a program or product that they are looking at they can easily turn their attention elswhere instead of choosing to make others wrong. There is something for everyone. It’s time for people to wake up and realize that they must take action, in their thoughts and in their lives.
So, I’m asking everyone – Are you looking at what is wrong or what is right? Turn your attention to what is right for you. You will be happier for it.
ps, I also love Napleon Hill’s and Karbo’s books. That kind of knowledge is real power.

You are full of it. You pontificate advice and even at times sound credible. The problem is scam artists like this prey on desparate people who will believe or try anything. The man tells BOLDFACE LIES on his infomercial. He claims to give you a free website with no hosting fees or anything else and then charges $40 per month. He who lies is a liar and after almost ten years of comission sales experience, I have learned that HONESTY makes me the most money. Why? Because most sales people are like you said lazy and want something for nothing, so they misrepresent their product to sell, but they get no repeat business. People feel ripped off and they do not trust you. I made six figures with one basic sales pitch “here’s what I got, It costs this much, do you want it or not?” I was honest and people found it refreshing. when they had a problem I never argued I just fixed it. here’s the line, “what do you want me to do to fix this?” If it was within my power, I did it. If not I directed them to the right person.

Anthony Morrison has a staff that can be reached at:

866-520-7289

I have talked with real people here more than once about Advertising Profits from Home. They actually refunded my money with no problem. They also answered my emails to:

[email protected]

I canceled because to the monthly rate, a fee of $197 for something and when I called in to order his book, I only said “yes” once, but I was charged 2 shipping and handling fees. So, $19.95 ended of being $38.95. I didn’t like that. As a result, anyone that wants to contact them, here is their information.

They don’t do business like they are intentionally trying to scam anyone! When I spoke with them they were professional and they were intelligent and nice to work with.

Replying to john – I called the customer service person and talked to a real person. I don’t beleive that the positive replies are from “Anthony’s goons”. I agree that after reading all of the comments, it doesn’t sound nearly as easy as advertised (the infomercial makes it sound like you’ll make money just by ordering the book, which is obviously not true). However, you can contact a real person about the order. My cell phone dropped the call near the end of my order, and I new that they were trying to sell lots of other stuff (classes and what not), so I called the next weekday and talked to someone to find out what I ended up ordering and what I was billed for. For anyone who needs it, the customer service number is 1-866-520-7289. I am at the “activatemywebsite” page right now, just for curiosity’s sake to see just how difficult (or if it’s even possible) it is to actually make any money off of this thing. Doesn’t look like there’s been any posts here for a while, so I’m not sure if anyone is still reading any of this, but if it works, I’ll come back and post again. If it doesn’t, I’ll tell everyone exactly how things went.

Dean Graziosi, Anthony Morrision, Kevin Trudeau, Russ Dalbey and countless others should all be strung up for trying to sell their books and basically steal money from hard-working or down on their luck people with their phony claims and phony testimonials . I for one would be happy to watch them hang

Alan, Who are they stealing from? Not a one of them, put a gun to anyone’s head and said, “You will buy into our Programs!” People do what they want, when they want with their own money! The ones to blame, are those who rather try to get rich quick and not do their homework first.

Fans of WWF Wrestling go to many events, buy souvenirs and so forth, is WWF Wrestling Real or Not? Many, don’t care, it’s entertaining…Who are the ones truly to Blame for losing their hard earned money?

You are truly an idiot. If I promise you a book that promises good health, but don’t actually provide enough info for you to get healthy (instead I then promise you to spend more money, on a monthly basis), that is fraud (which I’m pretty sure is considered “stealing” in all 50 U.S. states, U.S. territories, and a vast majority of the other countries in the world).

You are right in one regard, though…a person who believes they can get rich quick by spending $20, $40, $10,000 or whatever amount, they are even stupider than you.

P.S. – you don’t have to physically put a gun to someone’s head to rob them, robbing is robbing is robbing, regardless of the method used.

Hi, I just purchased Anthony Morrison’s book and DVD and felt reluctant about giving out my Social Security to his company. It sounds legitimate… but these days, you have to be extra careful about your personal information and giving it out to unknown people. I still haven’t received the book or DVD yet… and of course i gave them my debit card information. Now I’m worried about them charging my checking account after I cancel the subscription. I am on a really tight budget and if something like this happens to me… I am going to be in big trouble financially. I will not be able to eat or pay bills. I have read so many things about this program, both negative and positive, that I don’t know what to believe. I have also seen the Anthony Morrison review video that he put out himself, trying to reassure people that he is a good guy and the program is legitimate. Anybody want to set me straight??? I’m just glad I waited and not put my social security number in the http://www.activatemywebsite.com.

Thanks,
Jason H.

Anyone(Hi Evan & Candy ) who is claiming to be this is an real story, can you give me one example of his/her website/blog/forum where people has applied Anthony’s ways and made that amount of money he is claiming.

If a website is making that amount of money , the online stats will easily reflect that. So that will prove whether he is right or wrong .

The principle he was talking in the book `Anthony Morrison – Advertising Profits from Home` is a collection of different techniques how affiliated marketing works(I have read the book) , which is good. But the real trap is the amount of money he is claiming to be generated in so little time in the websites(for which you have to pay $40/month) he is offering. My experience in web says that is a totally daydream .

So I am inviting everyone who is claiming that Anothony’s technique has worked for them in so little time , please come in front of the world with your proof , the platform (website/blog) url where you have generated the money .

Otherwise this should be considered nothing but scam.

Just saw the infomercial about an hour ago, and got very very interested indeed! However, as is my custom I decided to scour the web for background info, and boy…………..am I glad I did? Just goes to show that in these wicked times you really can’t be too careful! Kudos to Scamtimes for keeping us updated on the sharks out there!

Just as Jason H. previously said I too have already purchased this
program and I am reluctant to provide my SSN due to security reasons.
I e-mailed these people a while back and asked if i would be able to “work” for this eventhough i am only 16 years old. They responded about a month later saying that i could do this, but i had to call and have them change the information i provived of the adult card holder. I called noone answered, it just would hang up after the prerecorded messages.
I do not have a credit card, the card i provided is a debit card (so they cant continue charging because it runs out of money), and i am reluctant to provide my SSN.
ANY ADVICE? ANYONE? please i need to know whether i can trust these people.

I’ve spent many an hour reading the plight of many that have bought Anthony’s book and then got suckered into the $5000 extras. Many stretching their credit cards to the max.

There are a “few” success posts of making a little money … but the majority seems to be those “crying in the wilderness”.

You can read for yourself at his blog:
http://www.anthonymorrisonlive.com/index2.php

Will make you understand “why” so many get taken in with the promise of fast money.

Oh .. and John … I’ve heard that he “is” under investigation by the FTC. I’m sure if he is and if there’s anything wrong, they are going to make sure they have their ducks in a row before pouncing. They’ve learned from taking on others like Kevin Trudeau … etc.

Thank you so much for taking the time to research and inform us of Anthony Morrison scam. I almost ordered it out of desperation. I am 44yrs old and have been diagnosed with emphysema. My company reduced staff due to economy and I was one of them to go. We are about to loose our home AND HAVE A SON IN COLLEGE. I wish I could find one legit at home job. I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING. ANY ADVICE???

This is a business opportunity which involves selling products that we pay for on a monthly basis.

Hi Lisa, sorry you have been diagnosed with emphysema. I have some info about a product that will help with the disease, its nothing new, its a product that the pharmaceuticals dont want you to know about that will cure many diseases. Its not a scam of any kind but here is the website. I just found out about this also and in the 2nd week of taking this product. I have no other reason to tell you this except to have compassion on those that are going thru difficulties in their lives. Research other web sites aslo, dont rely on just this one. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE FDA, the pharmaceuticals are paying them to keep quiet! Jim http://www.the-natural-path.com/hydrogen-peroxide-therapy.html

People check out Informical Review-”Advertising from Home with Anthony Morrison”. You will see poor suckers who’ve been taken for thousands of dollars more than the initial $20 to buy the USELESS book. Any looser defending this guy are PAID EMPLOYEES read between the lines. There is a poor lady who went into this program with an open heart and mind and got screwed for $40k and made $7 return. What’s wrong with that picture……A LOT!!!! The only people making any $$$ is Anthony and his crooked goons. Believe you and me no one that joins this dog and pony show make any money. The book is the beginning the call will come soon after ordering the useless book, and they goons will ask “high trust questions” all along to find out how much available credit you have available for them to suck out of you. Two weeks later you will get a call from their tax club wanting 5k or more to set your business up as s-corporation. This is all the beginning of a nightmare. Get this once you sign up Anthony and his goons will only give you 3-DAYS TO CANCEL-that’s it once you pass your 3-days you WILL NEVER SEE ANY OF YOUR $$$ BACK! If they are such a stand up company why give 3 days to cancel….hmmmm. Because they are one Big Scam! I can’t wait for that to come for class action suit againt this scammer.

Anybody stop and ask themselves, “how much does the author make per word or article.” Writers write to get paid, not to do you or I any favors. If ole Matt ain’t gettin’ paid, do you really want advice from someone so low on the food chain they have to give their work away?

I don’t know, I dropped the 20 bucks and learned a whole bunch already, no one ever took the time to teach me how to do the pay per click before. Just that information alone is worth $20 to me. I am not Anthony’s brother or anything but if you call, turn down all the offers, might cost you a bunch. we will see, its my first day. Nick

I received my order about two weeks ago. The book and cd’s are well worth over $20.00. My order was over $20.00. I ordered the audio CD for the book. If you want to start a business on the internet, Anthony’s books, CD’s and online training videos on his website is a world of information. Well worth $20.00.

lol wow i bought the book for 20 bucks but turned down all the other “offers” that would have cost me hundreds… Thats when I realized it was a scam, also when I went to set up my “Free” website I entered bogus information(btw it asks for a SSN) and it let me have one! I didnt even have to do like an email activation or anything! So now I have this stupid website that looks horrible btw and is only customizable through a few templates. There is no way a person could make money through this website. The URL is long and obscure, the products that you make commissions on are bad, and it just looks like one of those websites that you would close as soon you’ve seen it. At least I only spent 20…

The web address they gave me sent me straight here, as there is no other mention of him anywhere else. I used my debit card and after reading all of this am scared to death. Does anyone know how I can get out of this??? Please help. I am on a very small income, and cannot afford to lose any money.

For those of you who made the same mistake I did: I called my credit union and was told I could not stop payment as the payment was pending. The told me to shred my card immediately and wait for a new one as they were closing the card out as we spoke. When the charge goes through, they will dispute it for me. But I have not 19.95 pending in their name, an additional 39.95 was added already. So they have 60.00 of my money that will be held up until the dispute is over and have to wait 2 weeks for my new card

Thanks Matt and the manyother bloggers commenting on Anthony Morrison. I saw his infomercial in the wee hours this a.m. and thought about the books I bought from Kevin Trudeau. I might say, although many people have commented on Trudeau’s infomercial being a scam, the two books I got were informative. Haven’t made big dollars from them but the information is good, especially about handling debt. There were some ideas I did not even know about along with other resources to use. That alone has value.

Back to Anthony Morrison, I have not tried his get rich program, and from the many I’ve read it appears I saved myself lots of headaches. I am one of many Americans in debt, out of work, skilled and educated, but know the economy sucks and is affecting so many in my position. Seeing the “get rich infomercials” on TV makes you want to run out and reach for hope. But, as has often been quoted by so many people in the world, “If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.” I have to go with my gut on this one, because Anthony Morrison’s little infomercial does seem too good to be true. I think remaining safe, doing your homework online before you buy and checking out other opinions like this blog is a good way to protect yourself from being taken.

I have not checked out K. Wayne’s URL from Eddy Solomon, but it seems worthwhile. Thanks K. Wayne for the input. Remember to all those looking at these infomercials, don’t let the emotions of your situation get the best of you. It’s hard to do when you’re in tight financial situations, but getting suckered I can only imagine makes life worse.

Stay safe on the web — it’s a jungle out there!

Thanks Matt, I really appreciate the time that you put into writing this article. I just watched “Anthony’s Advertising Profits from Home,” and decided to do a little research to see if this program was legitimate or not. This was very informative, and although I never actually considered calling the number at the bottom of the screen and paying them money, it definitely saved some people time and money. I also loved Evan’s response to this. She is right. The programs are not the problem it is the person. Laziness and a lack of motivation cause people to stop dieting as they planned, continue smoking regardless of whatever health problems they know they face, and give up on business ideas because they were not making money right away. With a positive mentality and an eagerness for success, you do not need to start a website with marketing companies or pay them money. I suggest that you get a real job and earn your money honestly like the rest of us. I am not saying that Anthony’s book is not worth the money or that it is useless- but I am saying that people should not always be so naive to believe that they can make easy cash and duplicate it each month like Anthony claims.

If you see an ad or infomercial that mostly talks about “free time to spend with my family” or “work just a few hours a week” or “finacial freedom” or shows pictures of nice homes and cars ….run away. All of the above mentioned are keywords for your mind.We all want that. If YOU invented an easy way to make lots of money what would you do? You would do your thing and make money…maybe tell some relatives and freinds ,but not everybody. If everybody did it ,the money would diminish. Why would someone sell this great idea? Out of the kindness of their heart? Please…..they say that and you believe them. They sell the idea because it doesn’t work well. Selling books makes them money.
Why would they need a SS# to sell you something? So many lazy people out there looking for an easy way of life, it’s no wonder there are so many scammers.

AFTER MONTHS OF ADVERTISING, I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY COMMISSIONS even though my account earned and showed commissions! I was told that the delay between sales and payment would be a couple months in order for the affiliate network to guarantee the leads I submitted. 5 months later and nothing! Complete B.S. I was obviously one of the many sucked into this scam. To top it off, I asked several questions to the “service department” about how to make my ads more effective, like how to bypass the affiliate landing page when driving people to my landing pages in order to give an air of authenticity to my ads. The responses I received were all prefabricated and encouraged me to watch a video teaching me how to use google adwords. Complete B.S. Pretty interesting; all those infomercials are always so late at night when working folks are tired but want more. I also found all of the other posts informative. But, yours is explicit in actual experience. Why would I think that I will make tons of bucks when putting in the effort when your experience states that it doesn’t happen? You’ve sealed the deal for me. I’m canceling. And, I didn’t check the web postings before I ordered, but when the “activate my website” wanted my Social, big red flags went up. I do not put my SSN online. Thanks again Joe & have a great successful day, living life & loving your family!

It’s amazing how many people get sucked into stuff like this. The word “Free” and “Easy” get people even though we are all taught that nothing in life is free or comes without work. My dad is very very successful and makes a huge income… BECAUSE HE WORKED HIS BUTT OFF FOR YEARS building his own business from the ground up and working around the clock. Seriously. If you want to “get rich” then get to work asap. People really put way too much emphasis on money when money is nothing. All the money and material things in the world wont make you happy. Why not just go for a decent, honest job, so that you may live comfortably, and enjoy your life with your family. Like I said, my dad would certainly fall in the “rich” category with one of his homes being several million dollars… guess what? HE’S MISERABLE. He has always told me it wasn’t worth it and if he could go back in time, he would never have been a business owner. He has all the money, but no close family, no happiness. So please folks… let go of this “get rich fast” BS, and just do your best, get a job you enjoy, and live your life.

you’re an idiot… he is miserable because he wasted his life building his business which i applaud him for because it’s not easy, but he gave up time… the key to life is finding the balance of having the time to spend with family and friends and the money to have no worries. you make me sick when you say, “get an honest job” have you looked at how a job works, a job is a pyramid, and i love when people claim these scams are “pyramids” because they heard it from their 90 year old grandpa. there is no such thing and easy and honest in the work world today

I saw the infomercial for Anthony Morrisons’ book on tv tonight and decided to check it out first. Glad I did and sorry to any who didn’t. I got scammed by another program, I ordered an info packet on a system for 2.99 and was charged aditional 79.99 on my card. Thank goodness my bank recovered all for me.
One idea they suggested was if I wanted to order something again and to be sure they only got what I intended to invest, buy a green dot card and put just that amount on the card. Thinking it might be a good idea for future if I ever order anything online.

I did buy the book and dvd. I have not listened to the podcasts yet. BUT!!!, there is this part of the business that costs $39.95/month. I do have until 11/4/2010 to cancel and not pay a cent. But after 11/4/2010 I could be charged $39.95 /month if I do not cancel ( I think the first month is free, the cost kicks in after the initial month). Therefore I am cancelling first thing in the morning, and not go further, and pay nothing for this . In short, I will only blow a measly $29.90 as a learning experience.

Please check this website out, http://infomercialbeware.com/?t=Google_Content_TonyMo. This person clearly explains that the Morrison thing gives extremely basic info and not much, basically, run away from Mr. Morrison if you ask me. It sounds like like an informercial warning, but also mentions a free report. I have yet to investigate this out.

Also, I am glad I used the Meijer store pre-pay card. I think using a pre-pay card is safer than using a bank debit card. So if you only put $30 or $40 in this kind of card you will greatly minimize your risks. Heck you may even cancel/kill the card quickly if you want.

So in short get in the habit of using bank GIFT cards or PRE-PAY cards you can easily control or cancel. It is alot safer and can act like a wall of sorts to protect you from the predatory heathens out there.

By the way, can a person make money through Google as they say? If so is there any safe info to check out? Thanks

OMG! Amway?!! Boy does THAT name bring back memories, LOL! I was with that bunch in 1982-83, what a waste of time and money for me. Maybe I was just too young to make a go of it and wasn’t cut out for that kind of work. I found myself unemployed after losing my FT job due to a company wide layoff in the early ’80′s recession. Still in my teens and being naive enough to think there might be a better way to go than another barely over minimum wage job, I answered some stupid newspaper ad touting this great opportunity to make a FT income by working Pt hours, yeah right lol! I wish my present day self could talk the younger me out of bothering with any of that multi-level mktg BS! I ended up going to some jokers in-home demo of how great the products were, and truth be told they were pretty good compared to what most of us normally buy at the grocery store or local 99 Cents Only or Dollar stores. Of course Amway, Herbalife, Shaklee, etc products tend to be fairly pricey (even back then) and getting them means having to place orders w your paid rep making commissions on your order, etc. I was in the hole for a little under a 100 bucks (in 1982 Dollars- paid for w my unemployment ins) In a nutshell I eventually developed buyers remorse and lost interest. I decided I didn’t like going down the fwy in heavy traffic to rah-rah meetings, hosting house parties to push memberships to very reluctant prospects to try to build a downline, or just being a ‘salesman’ hustling all my friends and relatives to buy my fantastic soap, vitamins, etc. I still remember that reaction from many folks I knew (and some I still do) ‘Oh no, here comes Jim trying to sell us more of that Amway crap again!’ I used to hear all the standard excuses. I don’t need any more, I haven’t even used the one bottle I bought last time, Thanks Jim, but I have no extra money right now, etc. My ‘customers’ weren’t going to give up life time customs of shopping for their stuff at the local grocery store. I couldn’t begin to compete with mfg and store coupons, buy-one-get-one-free sales, etc. In fact even the couple that ‘sponsored’ me and their upline (another suburban middle class couple) have long since called it quits w Amway and moved on to other opportunities. I just found the whole experience mentally and physically exhausting (and fiscally exhausting, pun intended, lol!) But I really do wish you luck w your Amway biz. If you are making enough money for your hard efforts and like the selling and multi-level aspects, then by all means more power to you!

Hmm, I love that I decide to research this guy after calling and ordering. What a moron, I am. Well, I ordered the thing and it costs $39.85 instead of 19.95+s&h. They mentioned S&H being $9, so I don’t know where the extra money came from to make my total be $39.85. Actually, they said that rush shipping would be an extra $9 and I said no to that, so I don’t get why it seems that I’m being charged that now. Dammit, why do I watch infomercials….

I did go to the activatemywebsite and saw that they asked for SSN so I thought that was really fishy and didn’t fill any of my info out on the site.

I am glad that I paid with my credit card though, instead of my debit card. I said no to every single extra thing they offered. But now I’m concerned about this $40/month charge, other commenters have been mentioning, which is charged to pay for the site or something. Love that he says it’s free but apparently you get charged $40 a month for it?

I will call my credit card company on Monday to see if I can stop the payment, or at least tell them not to put through any other payments from this company. If I’m out $40, so be it, but I don’t want them to keep charging my card bogus charges. I will be calling his customer service # too, to cancel it and attempt to find out how they came to the total cost of $39.85. Honestly, I’m interested in affiliate marketing and a cousin of mine has made some money and so have his friends (they didn’t buy a program like this off of TV. They went to college for computer science or whatever so they’re tech savvy and built their own websites). So I just wanted this guys book to read some more about it. I’d like the book and wouldn’t 100% mind seeing the info in it. The only thing I don’t want is these extra charges or hidden costs and fishy things that always seem to be associated with infomercial products, and which I always seem to get suckered into. Damn, you’d think I would have learned by now….

Well, I guess I’ll have to see how it goes with calling my credit card company and calling this guys customer service # to try and get a refund before the thing even ships to me pretty much.

I saw this commercial too, and looked it up on the internet. If its just affiliate marketing, which it sounds like, you can do that yourself. All affiliate networks are free to join. ex: Commission Junction, Share a Sale, Link Share, plus there are others but these are the top ones. You can also go to any site and see if they have an affiliate program like Macy’s other retailers. First just set up a site (pretty easy to do at Godaddy for 4.99 to 9.99 a month. Intuit is also pretty cheap) Nice templates and easy to put together. Sounds like with this 4000.00 plus 40.00 per month system, you still have to drive your own traffic by seo techniques or google adwords. Either way you will have to drive traffic, so why pay someone to tell you this? Your best bet is to just do a limited budget with adwords while you are working on your SEO. Backlinks are the key to boost your site on google. It can take a long time however. There is no get rich quick thing. It takes a few years to really start making money. An example of my site is above. I haven’t made a dime yet, but I also havent’ had time to work on it due to other things in my life. But its a good example of what you can do at godaddy for 9.99/mo and sign up with affiliate networks for FREE. Save your money fo google adwords or bings (MSN/YAHOO) because you’ll need it. Otherwise you will have O traffic for a few years.

As phony as people like Anthony Morrison are what really amazes me is how stupid his victims are. Come on people wise up! Why do you think these informercials are on at 3:00 in the morning to begin with? Do you really think they would be allowed on during prime time? If reading a book can make you wealthy then let me sell you shares of stock in my library for only $19.95 + $9.95 shipping & handling. Get my point?

I personally believe that the program is not scam. I do agree on that amthony morrison in not telling the whole true while advertising this program. I’m talking about prices plus hiden cost. he never tell you there is a monthly fee for the website, or that you have to pay alot of money for guidance. As soo as I watched it on tv I came online to do some research. this programs are not all the same, some of them have hiden cost and others are scam. I believe in clickbank.

I was actually excited about putting the work into it to make even a little money. I think that’s the part that got me, him telling you up front that there is work involved and not an overnight thing. His English, Drama, Performing Arts, and Character Development teachers along with his Facial Coach deserve kudos on their star pupil. Catching yourself being stupid really sucks! This is a network marketing biz opp basically. However those people who think its a scam are wrong, he pretty much lays out how to start a business. However, if you do your research and want to ‘make money’ online it can be done.

He gives you a replicated website which I highly dont recommend for search engine reasons. Build your own website/blog upon something you enjoy. You make money using simple things like ad sense and then build from there.

If you want to know the real side of marketing online go to

Reading all these accounts are really scary. I ordered AMs book too and got billed 39.95. I thought I was suppose to get the book for 19.95 plus s&h. So lo & behold a year later I go to set up the website and they want your SS#. What I want to know is why do they need your SS# to set up a website? The red flags went up! So I found this website and read all the horror stories. I was shocked to learn that he charges 40 a month for a website that he says is free. He is going to have a conferance in a hotel where I live. I should go to it and see how many hundereds or thousands of dollars this guy will try to suck out of us. I would like to confront this guy about the “free website hosting fee” that ends up costing you 40 bucks a month. Maybe a class action lawsuit would make this guy wake up and take notice. This is outright fraud and maybe the FTC should investigate this guy. I so glad that I didn’t set up the website. They also tried to charge me 29.95 a month for management training , but I put an end to that real quick. The bottom line is this guy will try anything that he can think of to scam money out of you while giving as little back as possible. I’m glad I found this website as it is very informative and to find out what other people went though with this scammer.
