Coral Calcium is still around and still draining your wallet

People have been hawking Coral Calcium for a while. MLM groups and other people like Robert Barefoot. Now most people are not going as far as Robert Barefoot who was claiming it would cure cancer, AIDS, and several other things for example the ones below.

“50 of 100 people cured of cancer, cured of migraine.
This stuff really works!”
“Watch a miracle happen. Just take 200 mg. in 10 minutes”
“The blind see, the deaf hear, the MS cripples get out in the sun when they take coral calcium.”
“I’ll show you blood changes in just 10 minutes”
“92% of all hysterectomies are not necessary”
“No more rectal cancer”
“It’s a miracle”
“Surgeons use it”
“Spray it on me – I will have no bugs on me”
“Spray it on plants – they will be bug free”
“It’s the magic mineral”

Lets just get a little information out about Coral Calcium. The other claims include “most absorbable Coral Calcium on the market”, “clinical grade Coral Calcium “, “Fossilized Coral Calcium “,”Sango Coral Calcium “, “Ionized Coral Calcium “, “Robert Barefoot’s formula” and so on. Some argue over who was first to bring it to America and who has the “exclusive rights”. Others suggest Coral Calcium is a “scam” on the one hand, and the “fountain of youth” on the other. However Coral Calcium is not a scam or a fountain of youth by itself.

It is an excellent source of calcium and a good percentage of people are actually low in calcium and so when these people finally absorb some great things can happen. Almost all coral calcium comes from Japan coral reefs in Okinawa, Japan. The remnants that are used a limestone which coral creates as a protective shell. Coral Reefs are protected by law so the Coral Calcium is created from materials that no longer contain live organisms.

Limestone itself has no unique health properties and its only calcium carbonate with a little magnesium and a few other minerals. Coral Calcium is very inexpensive to create and you can buy it from reputable places. I have ran across Ardyss International which is selling a coral calcium and I am sure several other MLM’s are offering Coral Calcium. Ardyss International is offering you Coral Calcium for 50 dollars a bottle while Drugstore.com is offering it much cheaper ($9.29 USD)

For further information about Coral Calcium you can read a old post from Stephen Barrett, M.D.

Kevin Trudeau is behind the infomercials that took place with Robert Barefoot. Kevin Trudeau also partnered with Donald Barrett who seems to be working on informercials with Anthony Morrison. What it looks like I need to work on is a family tree of sorts or 6 degrees of separation of all these hustlers.

We might post more on this, I actually started looking at this when my wife called me and told me about a sign that said “This weekend at the Hampton Inn come lose 3 sizes in 10 minutes”. We will get into this later but it is also a Ardyss International Distributor. I won’t call MLM in general a scam but I will say that some of them seem to sell the scam products.

I think I’ll just save my money and buy some calcium supplements at my grocery store.
