What to do if you find out you have been scammed

If you have belief that you have been scammed one of the first things I recommend is any data that you have given them to your financial information must be changed. I recommend that you change your credit card numbers right away. Do not allow time to pass because you can be emptied and have sizable fees on your account that you now need to pay for.

This especially goes for Visa Debt cards because they can not stop a future charge so they can continue to charge as long as they want until they give up or you get a new number.

If your checking information was given then you must go to your bank and close that account. You can open a new account but make sure you let the bank know why you are closing the account so they do not link the accounts together. This happened to me at one bank and they kept using ACH withdrawls on the new account because they where linked together.

This is vital and should be your first steps. We will get into futher actions in a later post
